So this morning at 7:30am I arrived in Buenos Aires, Argentina! I had an amazing plane ride enjoying all the 1st class amenities and watching the sunrise from above the clouds just before we landed. Overall, the trip over here was very nice.

After arriving at the airport I was unsure of where I was staying but after getting the taxi driver to make a few phone calls we were able to find my new address. I am staying with a couple young couple and their kids that are in college. They are very nice and helpful! They seem young and fun and know a good amount of English. I have my own room with a bathroom and a rooftop patio to hang out on. The entire house is amazing! I would love to have a place like this some day! On Tuesday there will be another student staying here with us. One great feature about the house is that they have WiFi and it moves fast. The internet is faster here then back home in Texas! Here are a few photos of where I am staying:

So after arriving I went out to the Recoleta area. I walked around through the market in the streets, visited the Basillica de Nuestra Señora de Pilar, and then went to the Cementerio de La Recoleta in the city where Eva Peron (Evita) was buried. I got to see her tomb even though it turns out she is buried in a different cemetery nearby or something like that.

We just had a family dinner. It was a home made meal by the daughter of the house. She went to school to learn how to cook and speak English. All I know is that she has done very well in both areas!

For the first night I don’t think I am going to make it out. I am just too tired with all my traveling in the last few days. I will definately make it out to go dancing one of these nights sometime soon though. Who knows…maybe I will actually learn how to dance for the first time! Tango, anyone??
